In the beginning of his art career, @1982, Robert Ryan accepted a job in Chicago as a Pictorial Sign Painter. He painted over 100 billboards for Miller, United, American Airlines, Buick, Nike, Seagrams, and many, many more.
In 1994, Robert attended a Showcase House in Hinsdale, IL where various artists each painted one room showcasing their vision coming to life. Robert instantly felt drawn to residential painting and took the next step by opening Robert Ryan Studio's later that year.

Since then, Robert has enjoyed completing a wide variety of paintings, murals, and entire rooms for clients from the Chicagoland area and nation wide. Robert's favorite part about painting is "bringing the clients ideas to life and seeing the progression from concept to completion".
In his limited free time, Robert enjoys: camping, running, remodeling his 1880's home, and of course, spending time with his St Bernard, Otis.
